Kids

Ok so it has been a while since I have written anything. Life has been a little busy but back to "normal" again. :-) So I don't know how other moms of babies and toddlers are, but my boys both had really sensitive skin. I have had problems finding any wipes that work for us. They usually cause the skin to break down and cause rashes and all that lovely stuff. Last summer I started making my own wipes. This is awesome because you can make this very green or just to save money. Another reason I love making my own wipes is because I control what products go into the wipes.

The Recipie

Supplies:
1 Air Tight Container
Baby Oil
Baby Shampoo or body wash of your liking
1 Roll of Paper Towel (generic Target works or bounty, I tend to like select a size better)
Green Version- you can also use little wash clothes so you can wash and reuse them. (You may have to play with the recipie of water, baby oil, and wash to get it to work. I am not brave enough to try this way yet lol, so let me know how it goes if you do try it!)
1 Sharp Knife
1 Cup
1 Tablespoon

Directions:
  1. So what you are going to do is cut the roll of paper towel in half. (I like to buy a 12 or 6 pack of papertowel that is just for wipes so you can do the whole package at once so when you run out this is one less step in the process)
  2. Then you take the container you are going to use and add the ingredants. 2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of baby oil, and 2 tablespoons of wash.
  3. Stir gently the products together, try not to make bubbles.
  4. Next, put the papertowel into the contanier and remove the center cardboard piece.
  5. Put the lid on the container and let soak for about an hour and you have a container of wipes! (I like to make 2 at a time, one to use and my backup or to place around the house)
